Leave of absence was granted to Sen. Dr. Chaitan-Maharaj, Sen. the Hon. Dr Kennedy Swaratsingh, Sen. Melanie Roberts-Radgman, Sen. Foster Cummings and Sen. Dr. Marlene Attzs, who are out of the country. Leave was also granted to Sen. Sophia Chote, SC, who is ill.
Mr. Andrew Ramsubeik, Mr. Ashworth Jack, Ms. Kamaria London, Mr. Patrick Phillips, Ms. Zola Phillips and Mr. Wesley Gibbings were appointed temporary senators in their place.

The Law Revision (Amendment) Bill, 2026 was introduced in the name of the Attorney General. The Minister of Land and Legal Affairs, Hon. Saddam Hosein, MP, moved that the next stage of the bill be taken later in the proceedings. The motion was approved.
The Minister of Land and Legal Affairs, Hon. Saddam Hosein, MP, moved the second reading of the Law Revision (Amendment) Bill, 2026. Four senators contributed to the debate before the wind up by the Minister of Land and Legal Affairs. The bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole Senate for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. With 30 votes for, no votes against and no abstentions, the bill was read a third time and passed.
