The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Miscellaneous Provisions (Administration of Justice) Bill 2014. The Member for Diego Martin North/East was the first to enter the debate. The Member for Moruga/Tableland was next to contribute followed by the Member for Tabaquite.
The Speaker of the House moved Tribute to the late Former President, Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson. The Prime Minister was the first to make her remarks followed by the Leader of the Opposition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Speaker of the House then rose to give his own remarks. The House then took a minute of silence in memory of the former President. The Speaker also noted the passing of Prof. Norman Girvan.
Debate resumed (from March 21, 2014) on the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 2014 with the Member for Tabaquite continuing his contribution. The Member for Port-of-Spain South was next to enter the debate, followed by the Member for St. Ann’s East, the Member for Arouca/Maloney, the Member for Chaguanas West and the Member for Chaguanas East. Debate on the Bill was then suspended.
