Four Bills

Four Bills, The Administration of Justice (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) (Amendment) Bill, 2026,  the Elections and Boundaries Commission (Local Government and Tobago House of Assembly) (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Criminal Records (Rehabilitation of Offenders) Bill, 2026 and the Public Health (Amendment) Bill, 2026, were introduced in the name of the Attorney General.

The Advance Passenger Information and Passenger Name Record Bill, 2026

The Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs moved the second reading of the Advance Passenger Information and Passenger Name Record Bill, 2026. Debate then began on the bill. Six persons made contributions before the Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs rose to conclude. The Bill was then referred to a Committee of the Whole, where it was considered clause by clause and approved without amendment. The Bill was then read a third time and passed with a division of 37 members voting for, none against and no abstentions.
