The Cannabis Control Bill, 2020, which was passed in the House of Representatives on April 29, 2022, was read a first time in the name of the Attorney General, who moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings. The Senate agreed. The Sexual Offences (Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2021 was read a first time in the name of the Attorney General.

Failure to lay Annual Reports on the operations of the Interception of Communications Act

Senator Mark raised as a Matter on the Motion for the adjournment of the Senate, The failure of the Government to lay in Parliament the Annual Reports on the operation of the Interception of Communications Act for the period 2018 to 2021.
