Two Bills were introduced, the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2022 by the Attorney General, who moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings, and the Tobago Council for Handicapped Children (Incorporation)(Amendment) Bill, 2022, a Private Bill to which the Speaker put the question that the Bill be read a first time.
Debate resumed on a Motion to adopt the Report of the Joint Select Committee on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Local Government Reform) Bill, 2020. Ten Members made contributions before debate on the Motion was suspended.
The Minister of Finance made a statement in the House on rising fuel prices and the impact on the fuel subsidy.
The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2022.
