Leave of absence was granted to Senator Nadine Stewart, Senator Gerald Hadeed and Senator David Small who are out of the country and to Senator Sophia Chote, SC, who is ill. Mr. Imran Mohammed, Mr. Gerald Ramdeen, Mr. Clive Dottin and Mr. Albert Sydney were appointed to replace said Senators on a temporary basis respectively.

Debate resumed on the motion: Condemn the actions of the Government in its dismissal of the Governor of Central Bank on December 24, 2015. The motion was not approved.

Senator Wade Mark moved the motion: Establish a Joint Select Committee to consider and report within three (3) months on a legislative formula for parliamentary autonomy in Trinidad and Tobago for debate. Sen. the Hon. Franklin Khan is first to enter the debate. The debate will continue at another Sitting.
