Senator Paul Richards moved a Private Motion which asks the Government to critically assess the deficiencies in the current systems, and to present to the Parliament a legislative agenda and policy implementation plan to more effectively address the rising incidence of violence against women and girls. Seven members made contributions before debate was suspended.
Senator Wade Mark raised as a matter on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House, the need for the Government to immediately discontinue the exemption requirement for entry into Trinidad and Tobago. The Minister of National Security responded.
