Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Franklin Khan and Sen. Dr. Maria Dillon-Remy, who are ill. Mr. Ndale Young and Ms. Shervon Ifill were appointed temporary Senators in their absence.

Five questions qualified for oral answer. Question #55 was deferred for two weeks.
Sen. Wade Mark sought leave to move the adjournment of the Senate on a definite matter of urgent public importance namely the need for the Government to assist small businesses in the wake of its COVID-19 countermeasures. The President of the Senate was not satisfied that this matter qualified under Standing Order 16.
The Attorney General, Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP, moved a motion to Approve the Sexual Offences (Amendment to Schedule 1) Order, 2020. Debate began on the motion. The motion was approved.
The Attorney General moved the second reading ofThe Miscellaneous Provisions (Age of Retirement of Judges, Interpretation and Chief Judicial Officers) Bill, 2019. Debate began on the Bill. The Bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. The Bill was read a third time and passed, with amendments.
