Debate continued on the Private Motion: Establish JSC – Legislative Formula for Parliamentary Autonomy. Following the wind up of the debate by Sen. Mark, the Leader of Government Business contributed to the debate. The motion was approved with amendments.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment regarding the Government’s policy position in settling sexual harassment claims against public officials. The Attorney General responded.
Sen. Taharqa Obika raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to establish the appropriate mechanisms to ensure the separation of the Board oversight function from that of the executive management at PETROTRIN. The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries responded.
