Tributes were extended in the Senator to former Leader of Government Business and Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Franklin Khan, who passed away on April 17, 2021. 18 Members paid their respects before a final tribute by the President of the Senate. The Senate then stood to observe a minute of silence.
