Two Papers were laid. One is in the name of the Minister of Finance and the other is in the name of the Minister of Local Government. See the Order Paper for details.
The Minister of Finance presented the Second Report (2007/2008) Session of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on proposals for the Supplementation and Variation of the 2008 Appropriation.

The Finance (Supplementation and Variation of Appropriation) Bill, 2008 was introduced in the name of the Minister of Finance, who moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings.
Debate began on a Motion in the name of the Minister of Finance to adopt the Second Report (2007/2008) Session of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on proposals for the Supplementation and Variation of the 2008 Appropriation. In addition to the Minister of Finance, thirteen members participated in the debate, including the maiden contributions of the Member for La Brea (Hon. Fitzgerald Jeffrey, MP) and the Member for Toco/Sangre Grande (Mrs. Indra Sinanan Ojah-Maharaj). The Motion was later approved.
The House considered and passed the Finance (Supplementation and Variation of Appropriation) Bill, 2008.
The House adjourned to Friday June 6, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. On that occasion the House will continue debate on a Private Motion on containing food prices by the Member for Cumuto/Manzanilla. The House adjourned at 11:32 p.m.
