Leave of absence was granted to Sen. Varma Deyalsingh and Sen. Hazel Thompson-Ahye, who are ill. Ms. Shervon Ifill and Ms. Zola Phillips were appointed temporary Senators in their absence.
Temporary Senators Phillips and Ifill took the oath of allegiance.
Two urgent questions were posed and answered.
Five questions qualified for oral answer. Questions #51 and #53 were deferred for two weeks.

Allyson West, moved the second reading of The Tax Information Exchange Agreements Bill, 2018, The Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and The Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters Bill, 2018. Debate began on the Bills. Following the debate:
1. The Tax Information Exchange Agreements Bill, 2018 was considered in Committee of the Whole and approved, without amendments. With 27 votes for, 0 votes against and 1 abstention, the Bill was read a third time and passed.
2. The Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was committed to a Committee of the Whole Senate for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. With 28 votes for, 0 votes against and 1 abstention, the Bill was read a third time and passed.
3. The Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters Bill, 2018 was committed to a Committee of the Whole and approved without amendments. With 28 votes for, 0 votes against and 1 abstention, the Bill was read a third time and passed.
