The Attorney General moved a Motion asking the Senate to approve the Quarantine (Maritime)(Amendment) Regulations, 2021. The Motion was approved.
Senator Amrita Deonarine moved as a Matter on the Motion for the Adjournment of the Senate, the need for the Government to prioritize the collecting/collating of up-to-date unemployment and poverty statistics, which will better inform its policy decisions in treating with the negative socio-economic impacts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic The Minister of Public Administration and Digital Transformation responded.
