The Speaker of the House, Hon. Bridgid Annisette-George, MP, informed of correspondence received from the President of the Senate regarding the change in membership of Joint Select Committees.

The Leader of the House, Hon. Camille Robinson-Regis, MP, moved a motion that the Committee appointed to consider and report on the Shipping Bill, 2020 be granted an extension of 5 months in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a final report by September 8, 2023. The motion was approved.
She also moved a motion that the Committee appointed to consider and report on the Fisheries Management (No. 2) Bill, 2020 be granted an extension of 5 months in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a final report by September 1, 2023. The motion was approved.
Hon. Camille Robinson-Regis, MP then moved a motion that the Committee appointed to consider and report on the Representation of the People (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2020 be granted an extension of 5 months in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a final report by August 31, 2023. The motion was approved.
Debate resumed (from February 10, 2023) on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Establishment of the Borough of Diego Martin and Borough of Siparia) Bill, 2021. Four members made contributions before debate was suspended.
