The Clerk of the Senate will read a Proclamation by His Excellency the President declaring the 4th Session of the 10th Parliament of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago open.

The President of the Senate informed the House that the appointments of Independent Senators Dr. James Armstrong, Corinne Baptiste-McKnight, Dr. Lester Bernard and Prof. Harold Ramkissoon had been revoked. Mr. Dhanayshar Mahabir, Mr. Hugh Russell Ian Roach, Mr. David Small and Mr. Anthony Viera were appointed as Independent Senators.

His Excellency Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona, SC, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago will address the Members of both Houses of Parliament assembled together.

The Leader of Government Business will move that the address of His Excellency be printed as a House Paper.

The Senate adjourned to a date to be fixed.
