The President of the Senate provided her ruling on a privilege matter raised by Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat at the last Sitting on February 22, 2022. The President ruled that there was a prima facie case made, requiring further investigation by the Committee of Privileges.

The Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs moved the second reading of the Immigration (Caribbean Community Skilled Nationals) (Amendment) Bill, 2022. Sen Wade Mark was first to enter the debate. Six Senators contributed to the debate before the debate was suspended.
Sen. Charrise Seepersad raised a matter on the Motion for the adjournment regarding the ongoing human and physical resource challenges faced by the Central Statistical Office impacting its efficiency and effectiveness and the need for the Government to expedite legislation to address these issues. The Minister of Public Administration, Sen. the Hon. Allyson West, responded.
Sen. Wade Mark then raised a matter on the need for the Government to explain the use of electricity from Lightsource BP, Shell and BPTT Solar PV Plant. The Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat, responded.
