Appointments to Joint Select Committees

The Leader of Government Business moved a motion to appoint Sen. Gerald Ramdeen, in lieu of Sen. Saddam Hosein, to the Joint Select Committee on National Security. The Senate approved the motion.

The Anti-Gang Bill, 2018

The Attorney General concluded his wind up of the debate on The Anti-Gang Bill, 2018. The Bill was taken to Committee for consideration on a clause by clause basis. Amendments were made and approved. The Bill was read a third time and passed.

Matter On The Adjournment
Two Matters

Sen. Taharqa Obika raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to develop and share with the country an economic plan for Tourism. The Minister of Tourism responded.
Sen. Wade Mark also raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the police to adequately follow through on complaints lodged by women who are victims of domestic violence. The Minister of National Security responded.
