Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Allyson West, Sen. the Hon. Dennis Moses and Sen. Foster Cummings who are out of the country. Ms. Alisha Romano, Ms. Ayanna Lewis and Mr. Ndale Young were appointed temporary Senators in their place.

The President of the Senate informed of correspondence received from the Speaker of the House regarding appointments to Joint Select Committees approved at the last Sitting of the House of Representatives.
Twelve Papers were laid as listed in the Order Paper and Supplemental Order Paper.
Three urgent questions were posed.
Eleven questions qualified for oral answer. Questions #74 and #92 were deferred for two weeks. See Order Paper for details.
The Leader of Government Business moved a motion to appoint Sen. Gerald Ramdeen, in lieu of Sen. Saddam Hosein, to the Joint Select Committee on National Security. The Senate approved the motion.
The Attorney General concluded his wind up of the debate on The Anti-Gang Bill, 2018. The Bill was taken to Committee for consideration on a clause by clause basis. Amendments were made and approved. The Bill was read a third time and passed.
Sen. Taharqa Obika raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to develop and share with the country an economic plan for Tourism. The Minister of Tourism responded.
Sen. Wade Mark also raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the police to adequately follow through on complaints lodged by women who are victims of domestic violence. The Minister of National Security responded.
