Four Questions qualified for oral answer. Question #37 was answered while questions number 40, 41 and 42 were deferred for two weeks.
The Minister of Health moved the second reading of the Nurses and Midwives Registration (Amendment) Bill, 2014. The Member for Diego Martin Central was the first to enter the debate. During his contribution debate on the motion was suspended until later in the proceedings. The Member for Diego Martin Central later resumed his contribution followed by the Member for Caroni East. Debate on the Bill was then adjourned.
The Attorney General moved the Motion to accept the Bail (Amendment) Bill, 2013 amendments by the Senate. The member for Diego Martin North/ East rose to contribute. The Senate amendments were then passed by a Constitutional Majority via a division of 27 For 12 Against and no abstentions.
The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Dog Control (Amendment) Bill, 2014. The Member for Diego Martin North/East was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of the People and Social Development.
At the next sitting debate is expected to continue on the Nurses and Midwives Registration (Amendment) Bill and the Dog Control (Amendment) Bill. The sitting ended at 9:22 p.m.
