The Speaker granted Leave of Absence to the Leader of the Opposition and the Member for St. Augustine. The Speaker also read correspondence from the President of the Senate about the appointment of Senators to the Joint Select Committee to consider and report on the Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill, 2020.

The Leader of the House moved motions that extensions be granted to the JSCs on the Fisheries Management (No. 2) Bill, 2020 and the Shipping Bill, 2020 in order for the Committees to complete their work and submit a final report by June 30, 2022. The motions were approved.
The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries made a Statement on AV Oil and Gas Ltd. and PETROTRIN.
The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Summary Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2021. Five Members made contributions before the Attorney General rose to conclude. The Bill was considered in Committee and approved without amendment. It was then read a third time and passed.
At the next Sitting debate is expected on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Testing and Identification) Bill, 2022. The Sitting ended at 4:54 p.m.
