Leave of absence was granted to Sen. Evans Welch, who is out of the country and Sen. Jayanti Lutchmedial, who is ill. Temporary Senators Mr. John Heath and Ms. Taylor Jowelle De Souza were appointed temporary Senators in their place.
The Summary Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2021 was brought from the House of Representatives in the name of the Attorney General who moved that the next stage of the bill be taken later in the proceedings.

The Immigration (Caribbean Community Skilled Nationals) (Amendment) Bill, 2022 was introduced in the name of the Minister of National Security.
The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Summary Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2021. Sen. Wade Mark was first to enter the debate, followed by Sen. Anthony Vieira and the Minister in the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs.
Sen. Amrita Deonarine raised a matter regarding the need for the Government to provide an update on the Trinidad and Tobago Revenue Authority. The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, responded.<br>Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter regarding the need for the Government to explain the appointment of Patrick Ferreira as Chairman of the NIB Board. The Minister of Finance responded.
