Leave of absence was granted to Sen. H.R. Ian Roach who is ill. Sen. Nikoli Edwards was appointed in place of Sen. Roach during his absence.

The Minister of Finance moved the second reading of The International Financial Organisations (Corporacion Andina de Fomento) Bill, 2017. Debate began on the Bill. The Bill was not committed to a Committee of the Whole and was read a third time and passed.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment on the deteriorating relationship between the Government and public sector trade unions. The Minister of Labour and Small Enterprise Development responded.
Sen. Khadijah Ameen raised a matter on the failure of Government to provide the public with good reasons for disbanding the People’s Issues Resolution Centre and the Poverty Reduction Unit of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services. The Minister of Social Development and Family Services responded.
