The Member for Couva South moved a Private Motion which asks the House to take note of particular challenging economic conditions and to condemn the Government’s lack of a clear economic plan to deal with these conditions. The Minister of Finance was first to enter the debate, followed by the Member for Chaguanas Eas, the Minister of Public Utilities and the Member for Princes Town. Debate on the Motion was then suspended.
The Member for Tabaquite raised a matter on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House, “the failure of the Government to deliver house lots…to persons displaced by the construction of the Point Fortin Highway.” The Minister of Works and Transport responded.
The Ag. Leader of the House indicated that at the next sitting, the Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Bill, 2016 and the Insurance Bill, 2016 will be considered. The Sitting ended at 6:19 p.m.
