The Leader of the House moved a motion asking that for the debate on the Whistleblower Protection Bill, 2022, the speaking time be adjusted as follows: Mover and first responder – 90 minutes, all other contributors – 20 mins and the mover in responding – 45 minutes. The motion was carried.
The Prime Minister moved the second reading of the Whistleblower Protection Bill, 2022. The Member for Oropouche East was first to respond, followed by the Attorney General, the Member for Chaguanas West and the Minister of National Security. 15 Members joined the debate before the Prime Minister rose to conclude.
The Member for St. Augustine moved a Matter on the Adjournment condemning the Minister of Rural Development and Local Government. The Minister responded.
