The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, moved the second reading of The Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Debate began on the Bill. Following the debate, the bill was considered in Committee and approved without amendments. The Bill was read a third time and passed.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment namely the growing concern by key stakeholders in this counntry’s industries, particularly at Point Lisas, as it relates to higher gas prices which have been set by the National Gas Company. The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries responded.
Sen. Mark raised a second matter on the viability or competitiveness of our local manufacturing sector. The Minister of Trade and Industry responded.
