Matter On The Adjournment
Two Matters

Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment namely the need for the Government to desist from attempting to influence/direct the Police Service on how to carry out its operational functions. The Minister of National Security responded.
Sen. Mark raised a second matter on the adjournment namely the threat by Government to the constitutionally enshrined right of freedom of expression, as reflected in a Government Minister?s strong criticism against comments made by a former Head of the Public Service. Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat responded.
