Senator Wade Mark raised as a matter on the Motion for the Adjournment of the Senate, the need for the Government to explain the benefits of the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding involving the National Gas Company (NGC), National Energy Corporation (NE) and Kenesjay Green Limited (KGL), for the development of a national policy framework for Energy Efficient & Green (EE&G) Hydrogen. The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries responded.
Senator Amrita Deonarine then raised the matter of the need for the Government to publish a three to five (3-5) year economic sustainability plan, to strategize for the continuous shortfall in fiscal revenues and worsening debt trajectory since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Minister of Finance responded.
At the next Sitting debate is expected to continue on the Anti-Gang Bill, 2021.
