Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Hassel Bacchus and Sen. Dr. Muhammad Yunus Ibrahim. Mr. Harvey Borris and Mr. Ndale Young were appointed temporary Senators in their place.

Sen. Anthony Vieira filed a petition on behalf of the St. Dominic’s Children’s Home in order to introduce a private bill to incorporate the St. Dominic’s Children’s Home. Leave was granted.

The Leader of Government Business, Sen. Dr. Amery Browne, moved a motion for appointments to three Joint Select Committee in lieu of Mr. Nigel de Freitas and Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim.
Debate resumed on a Private Motion by Sen. Wade Mark asking the Senate to proclaim the remaining sections of the Data Protection Act. Nine members contributed to the debate before the adjournment.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment calling on the Government to to advise on the effect of the decline in Natural Gas prices on the 2023 budget and on Trinidad and Tobago’s economy. The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, responded.
Sen. Damian Lyder raised a matter regarding the state of vagrancy and street dwelling in the city of Port of Spain and its impact on business, national security, health and tourism. The Minister of Social Development and Family Services, Sen. the Hon. Donna Cox, responded.
