The Speaker acknowledged the presence in the Chamber of Mr. Andre Hylton, Member of Parliament for Eastern St. Andrew, Jamaica, and Mr. Patrick Faber, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport from Belize. Both Parliamentarians attended the recently concluded workshop on ICT and Parliamentarians.

Debate continued on the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property (No.2) Bill, 2014. The Minister of Transport was the first to enter the debate, followed by the Member for Laventille West, the Prime Minister and the Member for Diego Martin Central. Five members made contributions today (16 over the course of three days of debate) before the Minister rose to conclude. The Bill was considered by a Committee of the whole and passed without amendments. The Bill was then read a third time and passed. At third reading, a division was taken, the result of which was 26 members voting for, none against and ten abstentions.
The Speaker informed the House about developments pertaining to the restoration of the Red House, the traditional home of the Parliament.
Before adjourning, the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition and the Speaker of the House extended Christmas greetings to the national community. The sitting ended at 7:49 p.m.
