The Minister of Trade and Industry moved a Motion asking for the exemption of import duties of customs for certain categories of goods. The Member for Couva North was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of Tourism, the Member for Mayaro and the Minister of Health. The Minister of Trade and Industry rose to conclude the debate. The Motion was approved.
The Minister of Trade and Industry moved a second Motion asking for the exemption of import duties of customs for certain categories of goods. The Member for Pointe-a-Pierre was first to enter the debate, followed by the Attorney General. The Minister of Trade and Industry rose to conclude.
Debate resumed on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, Proceeds of Crime, Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago, Customs and Exchange Control) Bill, 2017 with the Minister of Health being first to contribute, followed by the Member for Oropouche East. Debate on the Bill was then suspended.
