The bill was then reported to the House, following approval in Standing Finance Committee, without amendments. With 21 votes for, 19 votes against and no abstentions, the bill was read a third time and passed.

Approve the Notification of the President of the nomination by the Police Service Commission of Mrs. Erla Harewood-Christopher to act as Commissioner of Police

The Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Keith Rowley, MP, moved a motion to approve the Notification of the President of the nomination by the Police Service Commission of Mrs. Erla Harewood-Christopher to act as Commissioner of Police. Dr. Roodal Moonilal, MP for Oropouche East, was the sole responder. The Prime Minister then wound up the debate. The motion was approved.
