Leave of absence was granted to Hon. Dr. Keith Rowley, MP for Diego Martin West, Mr. Esmond Forde, MP for Tunapuna, Mr. David Lee, MP for Pointe-a-Pierre and Mr. Rushton Paray, MP for Mayaro, from today’s Sitting.

Five questions were to be posed to the Prime Minister by Opposition Members, however, the Prime Minister was granted leave from today’s Sitting.
Three urgent questions were posed.
Seven questions qualified for oral answer. Question #165 was withdrawn. Question #175 was deferred. Five questions were answered.
The Leader of the House, Hon. Camille Robinson-Regis, MP, moved a motion that Mr. Kennedy Richards be appointed to the JSCs on National Security and Energy Affairs, in lieu of Mr. Fitzgerald Hinds and Mr. Stuart Young respectively. The motion was approved.
The Attorney General, Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP, moved the second reading of The Firearms (Amendment) Bill, 2021. Debate began on the bill. Following the debate, the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. The bill was read a third time and passed, without amendments.
