Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Franklin Khan, who is ill, and to Sen. Dr. Lester Henry, who is out of the country. Temporary Senators Augustus Thomas and Ndale Young were appointed temporary Senators in their place.

Temporary Senators Thomas and Young took the oath of allegiance.

The Clerk read a Proclamation by Her Excellency the President declaring the Red House, Port-of-Spain, as the place where the Fifth Session of the 11th Parliament will continue.

One paper was laid.

The Leader of Government Business made brief remarks on the move to the Red House. Sen. Wade Mark and Sen. Paul Richards were invited to do the same.
