The President granted leave of absence to Sen. Embau Moheni who was out of the country. Archbishop Barbara Burke was appointed as a Senator to temporarily replace him during his absence.

Faris Al-Rawi continued his contribution from the last sitting, followed by Sen. Dr. Dhanayshar Mahabir, the Minister of Local Government, Sen. Anthony Vieira and Sen. David Small. Debate was then suspended.
At the next sitting, debate is expected on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Licencing Committee) Bill, 2014. The sitting ended at 4:18 p.m.
