The Minister of Health moved a Motion asking the Senate to approve the Tobacco Control (Amendment) Regulations, 2019.
Sen. Paul Richards raised the following matter, the need for the Government to bring to Parliament in the shortest possible time, a Bill to legalise the use of non-lethal weapons that would assist woman and girls in protecting themselves against violent physical attacks. The Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries responded.
Senator Wade Mark raised the following matter, the need for the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission to urgently implement a debt recovery plan to collect outstanding payments amounting to approximately $1.4b, prior to there being any increase in electricity rates. The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries responded.
