The President of the Senate informed of correspondence received from the Deputy Speaker regarding the establishment and appointment of members to Joint Select Committees.

The Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat, moved the second reading of The Livestock and Livestock Products Board (Repeal) Bill, 2021. This bill was brought from the first Session. Two senators contributed to the debate before the debate was adjourned.
The Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Sen. the Hon. Randall Mitchell, moved the second reading of The National Academy for the Performing Arts Bill, 2022. Nine Senators contributed to the debate before the wind up by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. The bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole Senate for consideration clause by clause. Amendments were made and approved. The bill was then read a third time and passed.

Sen. Jayanti Lutchmedial raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to provide enhanced resources to support students with learning disabilities and other special needs. The Minister of Public Administration, Sen. the Hon. Allyson West, responded.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter regarding the need for the Government to indicate whether T&TEC had obtained ministerial approval to issue a request for expression of interest for a floating power plant. The Leader of Government Business, Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat, responded.
