Leave of absence was granted to Dr. Lackram Bodoe, MP for Fyzabad, from today’s Sitting of the House.
The House paid tribute to Dr. Reeza Mohammed, former Member of Parliament for Princes Town, who passed away. A minute of silence was observed.

The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, made a statement on the Annual Report of the Financial Intelligence Unit for fiscal year 2021.
The Miscellaneous Provisions (Testing and Identification) Bill, 2022 was introduced in the name of the Attorney General and the Whistleblower Protection Bill, 2022 was introduced in the name of the Minister of National Security.
The Leader of the House, Hon. Camille Robinson-Regis, MP, moved motions for appointment of members to Joint Select Committees. Motions were approved.
The Leader of the House, Hon. Camille Robinson-Regis, MP, moved a motion that the Representation of the People (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2020 be referred to a Joint Select Committee established to consider the bill and report to the House by April 30, 2022. Appointments to this Committee were also made and approved.
The Leader of the House moved a motion that the speaking time for debate on the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Regulations be as such: 45 minutes for the mover of the motion and the first responder and 20 minutes for all other contributors, including the wrap up. This was approved.
The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, moved several motions to approve Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property (No. 2) Regulations. All ten motions were debated simultaneously. Twelve members contributed to the debate before the wind up by the Minister of Finance. All motions were approved.
