The Minister of Gender, Youth and Child Development has stated that the Hon. Prime Minister has appointed a Child Protection Task Force to carry out a situation analysis of the factors which influence the increase of crimes against children within the country. The Child Protection Task Force will then make recommendations accordingly.
The Attorney General has moved he second reading of the Bill: An Act to amend the Bail Act. The Member for Diego Martin North East was the first to join the debate followed by the Member for Diego Martin North/East, the Minister of Legal Affairs, the Member for Laventille East/Morvant, the Minister of Land and Marine Resources, the Member for Chaguanas West and finally the Minister of Housing and Urban Development.
