Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Dr. Amery Browne and Sen. Damian Lyder who are out of the country, and to Sen. Deoroop Teemal who is ill. Mr. Michael Seales, Mr. Dominic Smith and Mr. Josh Drayton were appointed temporary Senators in their place.
Temporary Senators, Mr. Seales, Mr. Smith and Mr. Drayton took the oath of allegiance.
The Senate paid tribute to former Government Senator and Vice-President of the Senate, Mr. Rawle Titus. A minute of silence was observed.
The Finance (Supplementary Appropriation) (Financial Year 2022) Bill, 2023 was brought from the House of Representatives in the name of the Minister of Finance, who moved that the next stage of the bill be taken later in the proceedings. The motion was approved.

The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP moved the second reading of the Finance (Supplementary Appropriation) (Financial Year 2022) Bill, 2023. Five Senators made contributions before the Minister of Finance rose to wind-up. The Bill was not committed to a Committee of the Whole. It was then read a third time and passed.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment regarding the implementation and operationalization of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property. The Attorney General, Sen. the Hon. Reginald Armour, S.C., responded.
Sen. Mark raised a second matter regarding the possibility of capping further increases in fuel prices at the pump. The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, responded.
