Leave of absence was granted to Sen. Vishnu Dhanpaul, who is ill. Mr. Sanjiv Boodhu was appointed temporary senator in his place.

The Virtual Assets and Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill, 2025 was brought from the House of Representatives in the name of the Minister of Finance. The Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Sen. the Hon. Dr. Kennedy Swaratsingh, moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings. The motion was approved.

Independent Senator Alicia Lalite-Ettienne moved a private motion regarding a Comprehensive National Strategic Plan for Persons with Disabilities. Debate began on the motion. Six members added their voice to the debate before the adjournment of the debate on this motion.
