The Speaker of the House granted leave of absence to the Member for Caroni Central for the period November 1 to 9, 2014, and the Member for Port-of-Spain North/St. Ann’s West for the period November 7 to December 12, 2014.

The Minister of Health made a statement detailing Government’s response to the ebola outbreak in West Africa.
Two Bills, The Trade Marks Bill, 2014 and the Trinidad and Tobago Panama Partial Scope Trade Agreement Bill, 2014 will be introduced in the name of the Minister of Legal Affairs and the Minister of Trade, Industry, Investment and Communications resepectively.
The Speaker sought leave of the House to announce the names of Members appointed to various Committees at the end of the sitting. Leave was granted. Just before moving the adjournment, the Leader of the House moved the respective motions, which were all approved.
The Minister of Planning and Sustainable Development moved the second reading of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property (No. 2) Bill, 2014. The Member for Diego Martin North/East was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of Works and Infrastructure and the Member for St. Joseph. Debate on the Bill was then suspended.
