The Speaker granted leave of absence to the Member for Siparia (today) and the Member for Couva North (December 1-31, 2017).
The Speaker announced the membership of the Sessional Select Committees of the House of Representatives. The Speaker then read communication from the Senate indicating the appointment of Senators to several Joint Select Committees.

One Bill, Th Anti-Gang Bill, 2017, was introduced. The Attorney General moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken on Wednesday December 6, 2017. The House agreed.
The Speaker announced several reassignments of House members to various oversight Joint Select Committees.
The Speaker announced the appointment of six Members of the House to serve on a Joint Select Committee to consider the Cybercrime Bill, 2017.
The Speaker then announed the appointment of six members on the House to serve on a Joint Select Committee to consider the Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Bill, 2016
Debate continued on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, Proceeds of Crime, Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago, Customs and Exchange Control) Bill, 2017. The Minister in the Office of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister was first to enter the debate, followed by the Member for Caroni Central, the Member for Laventille West and the Member for St. Augustine. Debate on the Bill was then adjourned.
The Member for Caroni Central raised a matter on the Motion for the adjournment of the House. The Minister of Education responded.
At the next sitting the House is expected to take the Anti-Gang Bill, 2017 through all its stages. The sitting ended at 5:38 p.m.
