The House paid tribute to former Parliamentarian, Mr. Herbert Volney, who passed away on Wednesday December 7, 2022. A minute of silence was observed.
The Speaker of the House announced her recusal from the Committee of Privileges for the consideration of the matter referred to the Committee on Friday December 2, 2022 and appointed Deputy Speaker, Mr. Esmond Forde, MP as Chairman for of the Committee for said matter only.

Seven questions were posed to the Prime Minister by Opposition Members.
The Scrap Metal Bill, 2022 was introduced in the name of the Attorney General, who moved that the next stage of the bill be taken on Wednesday December 14, 2022. The motion was approved.
The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, moved the second reading of The Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2022. Debate began on the bill. Five members contributed to the debate before the wind up by the Minister of Finance. The bill was then committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. The Committee’s report was approved with amendments. The bill was read a third time and passed.
The Minister of National Security, Hon. Fitzgerald Hinds, MP, moved a motion asking the House to approve the Notification of the President of the Nomination by the Police Service Commission of Mrs. Erla Harewood-Christopher to act in the office of Commissioner of Police. Mr. Dinesh Rambally, MP was the sole contributor to the debate. The motion was approved.
