The Finance (Variation of Appropriation) (Financial Year 2015) Bill, 2016 was brought from the House of Representatives and read for a first time in the Senate. The Minister of Finance moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings.
The Interim Report of the Joint Select Committee on the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property (Amendment) Bill, 2015 was presented in the name of Sen. the Hon. Franklin Khan.
The Interim Report of the Joint Select Committee on the Whistleblower Protection Bill, 2015 was presented in the name of Senator Foster Cummings.

Senator Wade Mark sought leave to move the adjournment of the House to discuss a definite matter of urgent public importance, namely the issue of the murder of 39 citizens of Trinidad and Tobago within a period of 24 days. The President of the Senate ruled that the matter did not qualify under the Standing Order 16, but advised that the matter be pursued under Standing Order 15.
The Minister of Finance has moved the second reading of the Finance (Variation of Appropriation) (Financial Year 2015) Bill, 2016. The Bill was passed.
