Requests For Leave To Move The Adjournment Of The House On Definite Matters Of Urgent Public Importance
One Request

Dr. Tim Gopeesingh, MP for Caroni East, made request for leave to move the adjournment of the House on a definite matter of urgent public importance namely the increasing deaths by the H1N1 virus. The Speaker was not satisfied that this matter qualified under this Standing Order.

Introduction Of Bills
Two Bills

The Miscellaneous Provisions (Proceeds of Crime and Central Bank) Bill, 2019 and the Miscellaneous Provisions (Age of Retirement of Judges, Interpretation and Chief Judicial Officers Bill, 2019 were introduced. The Minister of National Security moved that the next stage of The Miscellaneous Provisions (Proceeds of Crime and Central Bank) Bill, 2019 be taken later in the proceedings. The motion was approved.

Extension to JSC

The Leader of the House moved a motion that an extension of three months be granted to the JSC on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Local Government Reform) Bill, 2019 in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a final report by March 31, 2019. The motion was approved.
