Mrs. Vidia Gayadeen-Gopeesingh
Mrs. Vidia Gayadeen-Gopeesingh first entered Parliament as the elected Representative for Oropouche West, following the General Election of September 7, 2015.
Mrs. Gayadeen-Gopeesingh is an Attorney at Law by profession. She is a member of the legal panel of Attorneys for National Petroleum Company Limited and Palo Seco Agricultural Enterprises Limited.
Mrs. Gayadeen-Gopeesingh was the Assistant Director at the Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry. She has conducted research into literacy rates in Trinidad and Tobago and the competitiveness of Agro Processing in the Caribbean and has worked on the Pension Plan for Grenada Nutmeg Farmers Association. She has lectured on topics such as sugar cane production, miscellaneous crops, commodity crops and computer usage to name a few.
Mrs. Gayadeen-Gopeesingh obtained a Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from Hugh Wooding Law School, Bachelors of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, BSc. in Agriculture from the University of the West Indies and an MBA Executive Leadership from the Anglia Ruskin University, London, UK.
