Mr. Stephen Creese was appointed an Independent Senator on September 23, 2015, at the start of the 11th Republican Parliament. He served for a period of three years.

Mr. Creese served in many capacities in the public service throughout his career, culminating as Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government.

Mr. Creese was CEO at the National Center for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD).

Mr. Creese passed away in March of 2026. Tributes were paid to Mr. Creese at a sitting of the Senate on Wednesday April 1, 2026.
