Mr. Roger Boynes first entered Parliament in 1995 as the elected Member for Toco/Manzanilla. Mr. Boynes served in Opposition between 1995 and 2001. In January of 2002, Mr. Boynes was appointed Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, a position he held until 2007. During that time he would contest and win the Toco/Manazanilla seat on three more occasions (2000, 2001 and 2002).

Mr. Boynes is an attorney-at-law by profession.
