Mr. Nathaniel Moore served as a Government Senator during the 5th Republican Parliament (1995-2000). Following a refusal to vote with the Government on a Bill related to tourism in Tobago, Mr. Moore's appointment as a Senator was revoked by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister.

Mr. Moore would return to Parliament in 2001 after having contested and won the Tobago East seat and serve as an opposition Member in the House of Representatives during the 6th Republican Parliament (2001).
