Brigadier Joseph Theodore served in Parliament as Minister of National Security during the 5th Republican Parliament (1995-2000).

Mr. Theodore passed away on September 21, 2013. Tribute was paid to him in the Senate on Monday September 23, 2013 by Sen. the Hon. Gary Griffith, Sen. Terrence Deyalsingh, Sen. Elton Prescott, SC and Sen. the Hon. Timothy Hamel Smith.
