Senator Allyson Baksh
Ms. Allyson Baksh was appointed a Government Senator on Wednesday September 23, 2015, at the start of the 11th Republican Parliament.
Ms. Baksh began her tertiary education at York University where she studied Political Science and Labour Relations in Toronto, Canada. After completing her undergraduate study Ms. Baksh obtained a MSc. Degree in Human Resource Management from Heriot Watt University based in Scotland and a Post Graduate Certificate also from Heriot Watt University in the Management of Business Administration program. In addition to her undergraduate and graduate studies Ms. Baksh also obtained a 3 year Diploma in Finance Management from Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto. Prior to becoming a Government Senator Ms. Baksh worked at the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago as a Human Resource Officer in the Training and Development. Ms. Baksh made her first contribution to the Senate during the Budget Debate in 2015 on the Appropriation Bill, 2015.
